Pears... if I were making some kind of poached pear dessert.

But I'm not.

However, I'm making a damn fine pumpkin cheesecake this evening.

Hmm... I thought I was finally over my aversion to pumpkin cheesecake a year after the Snackdown overdose, but no. Just the mention of it makes my stomach turn just a bit. Maybe another year.

I did, however, have pumpkin pancakes at IHOP this morning. Not as good as I'd hoped.
