Fashion Review

After work today I went to the mall to try to do some more Christmas shopping. I like to get as much as possible done before Thanksgiving, so I can relax and actually enjoy the holidays. Anyway, I was walking through Dillard's and passed between two men (employees) standing on either side of the walkway through the men's department. One said hi to me. The other, right as I passed, said to the other man, "A girl I dated in the Sixties used to wear that kind of stuff." That kind of stuff? That doesn't sound like a compliment to me. The first man's laugh wasn't complimentary either. I didn't think anything was wrong with my outfit; in fact, GC said he thought it was a good look for me. You decide:

Note: Yes, I took the picture myself. Yes, I intentionally cut off my head. And, no, I haven't been sawed into pieces. The lines through the picture are from the mirror.

Brown pants. Brown shoes. White button-down shirt. Green vest. Bad?

Getting to Know All About You: What's your biggest fashion faux pas?

Comments

Oh my gosh, I could go on and on about my fashion faux pas. The other day one of my 20 something children chastised me for wearing black socks with my tennis shoes. They are white with blue and black trim. I was wearing dark jeans. I thought it was okay. The shoes have black trim, right? Is there some sort of unwritten rule about never wearing colored socks with tennis shoes? Geez!

I think you look just fine. Guys who spend time hanging out in the mall like that are suspicious anyway.

I think you look excellent, and my response to someone mentioning the Sixties would have been, "She dated you? That WAS a drug-fueled decade!"

Thanks to both of you, for siding me me. I like it when people also think I'm right.

I always thing people who wear black socks with white tennis shoes are German. They seem to wear black socks always.

Red Momo- I think I need to have you on speed-dial. I can never come up with a good or witty come-back, except perhaps, "So's your face!", which rarely applies. If I do happen to think of something applicable, it isn't until several hours have passed and it's too late. I suppose a phone call would take too much time too. I'll just have to learn to channel you...

Well, I don't think we need to go into my fashion faux pas....

I will say I wore an outfit almost identical to that yesterday.. So I think it looks GREAT!!
