The Best Tuesday Ever
Today is the last day of my twenties. While turning the big 3-0 isn’t a big deal to me, not knowing how to properly close my twenties is. Do I spend the day mulling over the accomplishments and shortcomings of my second decade? Do I do something wild and memorable? Or do I let it pass as another mundane day, another Tuesday?
So far, it's like any other day. Went to bed too late and didn't get enough sleep. Woke up to a big dirty dish in the kitchen sink. Oatmeal for breakfast. It did snow again last night, so that's pretty exciting, but puts a damper on any memorable outdoor activities, especially if it keeps snowing.

Running around in the snow in your birthday suit is always fun. Just for a couple of minutes, though. It's chilly out there.
I don't like my birthday... there's nothing wrong with it, I'm just not into it. So I moved it to the anniversary of my heart surgery, since, after a few years of being in a bad state, I got my life back on that day. This most recent was the most memorable, but not because it was most recent.
My mom had a similar heart surgery and it was her 1-year anniversary. My two year happened to be two weeks after hers, so on the weekend in between we invited as many friends and family as my parents' house could hold to come over and eat, drink, and celebrate life. And that's what we did. It was great!

Naked snow angels just don't seem appealing, sober.
I don't much like my birthday either, but I'll take it over a heart surgery anniversary. I'd rather not go through heart surgery. But maybe I could switch my birthday to YOUR anniversary. You celebrate the Year of [Insert My Real Name], so why shouldn't I celebrate the day Red Momo got his life back?

Last year's-- the big 30!! Me and 15 of my buds in Vegas! Champagne, piano bar, drag show, Blue Artichoke posing pretty for pictures, roller coaster rides with Gentleman Caller, slut-- I mean SLOT machines, being serenaded by the guy @ FAO Schwartz, Witne being in charge, limo rides, Fremont Street, the wax museum, Cowboy, 52 oz of frozen concoction fun, falling down an escalator-- jumping up and exclaiming I am FABULOUS, shakin' my ass, etc...
Yes, that was definitely the best. Who's ready for 31?? :)

Hehe... sounds like BGC's birthday WAS FUN!!!
Pig Valve Day (as I affectionately call it) is August 11th... so you have a long time to wait if you want to skip turning 30.
And long live the Year of Blue Artichoke! :-)

Gosh, it's been a long time since I was 30--at least it seems that way. Believe it or not, I think turning 16 was the best. Finally getting my drivers license and having the freedom to come and go by myself. Ahhhh, that was good!
Happy birthday Blue Artichoke! I hope it's a memorable one!
