Dinner & a Movie
Last night was the second installment of Dinner & a Movie, but the first time we actually watched a movie. We saw Thank You for Smoking. I tried to match the food with the movie somewhat, so we had Turkey Cutlets with Smoky Black Bean Sauce. The movie was great: funny and farcical. I like morally ambiguous movies and when the "bad guy" is the good guy. The food too was great: easy and healthy, though not actually smoky. I knew I didn't have any Liquid Smoke, but I thought I had some sort of BBQ Smoke powder. Nope, I guess I threw it out; I never used it. Except for the corn I served on the side, everything was a SuperFood: turkey, black beans and tomatoes. Gentleman Caller and I are the epitome of good health, vitality and good sense. We are awesome.

I challenge you to create a menu for a meal containing all 14 SuperFoods. I can already see tofu, walnuts, yogurt, pumpkin and orange together maybe in a "cheesecake" for dessert! Maybe I could stick oats in the crust...

Hmmm... would this be a meal containing *only* SuperFoods, or one that can have other ingredients in addition to the 14 SuperFoods?
Salmon would be a tricky ingredient for me, because I detest it. Salmon should be punched in the face.

I wouldn't say only SuperFoods. That's too limiting. I am impressed with the thought of using ALL, however. With whatever else you find interesting and/or necessary. What a meal!
I'll let you punch salmon in the face if you let me punch brussel sprouts in the face. And liver and lamb. Most other things are pretty safe, except for blazing hot foods that melt your tastebuds off. Those I could punch in the face too.
