Hail to the Feast

What do you do when you avoid a nasty car wreck by mere inches? Or when your car window suddenly breaks (in the open position) right before a fierce thunderstorm with large hail? Or when your sump pump breaks during said thunderstorm and your basement turns into a river? When that happens, I have a cookout! Blue Grilled Cheese made some super guacamole, I made a Greek pasta salad (using up that box of rotini in the cupboard!) and fudgy dark chocolate brownies and Gentleman Caller grilled up some marinated chicken, sweet Italian sausages, Polish sausages, new potatoes and asparagus. Feast!

HEY!!!

We rock! Your forgot to mention that (a) Blue Grilled Cheese likes alcohol and (b) the secret ingredient in the brownies is kahluah instead of oil

I am enjoying my danger-filled spring break here! Hope I am not a "nightmare"

Well, I missed four posts in a row, thanks to being located in Cody, Wyoming ("RIGHT HERE ON A THURSDAY NIGHT!" -- the night I arrived). For those of you interested, the rodeo is only during the summer, which was a bit of a letdown.

However, 2 Live Cru was playing Cody, thus making the experience a little more surreal than expected. Also, I won the national title in Ski-Joring at Red Lodge, MT. Well, I would have won if I had had cash for the entry fee.

Dinners included a cajun gumbo (quite good, actually) and a crab-meat stuffed shrimp platter, with cajun seasonings. These items came from different restaurants -- but all featured cajun items on the menu. I did not know Cody was "into" cajun cooking.
