Let Them Eat Cookies
Who are the lucky ducks that get to be my tasters? I wish I could say I have a highly organized panel of chocolate chip cookie experts. Instead, the tasters are whoever happens to come into my house when there are some cookies around. I’ve taken some to the office staff at my dentist’s office and sent some to work with Gentleman Caller. I enlisted yard sale shoppers as tasters. Soon I’ll start distributing cookies to the local homeless community. Any suggestions of where to dispose of extraneous cookies?

Shall I give you my address? I am quite an adept cookie taster, if I do say so myself. And I gladly offer my testing services, free of charge :-)
You just let me know -- I'm happy to help.

One more thing - I have wonderful cookie recipe that spread out a lot if I used a plain cookie sheet or a silpat mat. However, the same recipe on a baking stone made the most perfect cookies ever.
And, here's an idea for your plethora of batches: Bake a few cookies for testing purposes. Then, using a cookie scoop to make them all the same size, scoop out the rest of the dough and flash freeze the balls, then load the batches into ziplock baggies for the freezer. Give them to people as gifts, or save them and pull out a few and bake when you want. Voila -- hot, fresh cookies any time.

Purple Fried Okra: Freezing the cookie batter is a great idea! (that is, once I clear out some room in my freezer). Thanks for the suggestion.
As for the baking stone, I've never had much luck using it for cookies. Do you preheat it in the oven before dropping the cookies on it? (I didn't). Or do you have to extend the cooking time? (I think I did, but cookies still didn't turn out very good). Perhaps I'll try it again with some of these cookies...
